The Blue Smart IP22 battery charger is the wireless solution for monitoring voltage and current, changing settings and updating the charger when new features are released.

Victron Blue Smart IP22 chargers are up to 94% efficient, these chargers generate up to four times less heat compared to the industry standard.

And once the battery is fully charged, consumption is reduced to 0.5 watts, between five and ten times less than the industry norm.

The Blue Smart charger features microprocessor controlled "adaptive" battery management. Its "adaptive" function will automatically optimize the charging process based on the use that is given to the battery.

Storage mode: less aging and maintenance when the battery is not in use.

Storage mode is activated when the battery has not been discharged in 24 hours. In storage mode, the float voltage is reduced to 2.2V/cell (13.2V for 12V batteries) to reduce gassing and corrosion of the positive plates. Once a week, the voltage is raised back to the absorption level to “equalize” the battery. This feature prevents electrolyte stratification and sulfation, the main causes of battery failure.

Also charges Li-Ion (LiFePO₄) batteries

LiFePO₄ batteries are charged with a simple initial charge-absorption-float algorithm.

Adjust NIGHT (night) and LOW (low)

When NIGHT or LOW modes are active, the output current is reduced to a maximum of 50% of the rated output and the charger will be completely silent. NIGHT mode ends automatically after 8 hours. LOW mode can be terminated manually.

Overheat protection

The output current will decrease as the temperature increases up to 50ºC, but the Blue Smart charger will not fail.
